President

Mr. Aditya Mody is a visionary leader and a self-made entrepreneur who leverages his vast knowledge of finance, planning, & strategy to deliver growth that will sustain institutions into the future. He has built and popularised multiple brands and understands marketing with a rare insight into consumer behaviour. He has been deeply involved with education, textiles, and philanthropy. He has actively participated in industry associations, bringing his in-depth knowledge to resolve common issues. Mr. Mody encourages his team to be scrupulously ethical in their relationships while upholding good governance standards. He passionately believes in ESG and has led his companies to become an environment-friendly, non-polluting, and contributing entity that serves the communities it works with. As the President of the NFCA, his vision propels the association to explore, introduce, and popularise the use of sustainable, non- conventional fibres to benefit all stakeholders.

Suryakant Gupta

VICE PRESIDENT

A veteran of the Textile Industry with nearly five decades-long experience heading varied textile businesses in companies like Reliance, Grasim, Bombay Dyeing and Raymond. He is well-versed in using key non-conventional fibres in apparel and home textiles. He has been associated with various trade bodies linked to the Textile value chain. He was instrumental in establishing the Linen Manufacturer Association, a leading trade body engaged in promoting the use of flax fibres. Well known in the industry circles, now as an independent consultant and Independent Director on RSWM’s board, he is quite excited about promoting various natural fibres through this one-of-its-kind association.

Dr. Guddo S. Nadiger

Nadiger is a luminary in advanced materials sciences and brings an impressive legacy of over 46 years in R&D, testing, and consultancy across the textile, polymer, and allied industries. He was an adviser at esteemed institutions such as SASMIRA and BTRA in Mumbai, and he also held the pivotal role of Director (Laboratories) at the Textiles Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Mumbai. With an unwavering commitment to the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), he possesses extensive expertise in testing, material processing, and characterisation through cutting-edge analytical techniques. Dr. Nadiger ‘s recognition extends to his profound contributions to environmental matters, particularly in eco-compliance and eco-labelling of products. His insights have earned him the distinction of being a renowned authority in sustainable practices. Dr. Nadiger ‘s influential role currently encompasses promoting and developing eco-friendly processes and sustainable textile fibres, especially non-conventional fibres such as banana, flax/linen, hemp, etc.  His dedication embodies a force that propels industries and enterprises towards a future of ingenuity, environmental stewardship, and sustainable development.

Vishnu Sharma

A Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience practising exclusively in Direct and Indirect Taxation. Over this time, he has supported leading corporations and other clients in achieving error-free compliance with industry regulations. He functions as a consultant and represents his clients before Departmental Adjudicating Authorities in Direct and Indirect Tax matters He follows the “Prevention is better than Cure” policy to avoid or mitigate conflicts and disputes. He actively participates in Seminars and Conferences organised by various forums, including ICAI.
